Job summary

Kids and Teens Pediatrics of Dover is seeking a Medical Receptionist to greet patients, schedule appointments, register new patients, and manage check-in/check-out. The role supports billing, intake forms, and insurance verification while maintaining HIPAA compliance and a welcoming, professional environment.

Required: high school diploma and 2+ years in customer service; 1+ year in a medical office and EMR experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Two+ years in customer service (required).
• One+ year in a medical office (preferred).
• One+ year EMR/EHR experience (preferred).
• High school diploma or equivalent (required).

Responsibilities

• Professionally greet patients, family and visitors in person or by phone.
• Confirm and schedule appointments.
• Register new patients and enter demographics and insurance data.
• Check-in and collect copays and balances; verify demographics and insurance.
• Check-out patients and ensure all requests are fulfilled before departure.
• Maintain fax and scan portals and upload to EHR.
• Distribute school/daycare forms and other paperwork as requested.
• Assist with inventory and orders for office supplies.
• Reconcile charges after the business day.
• Adhere to HIPAA and maintain patient confidentiality.
