Job summary

PM Pediatric Care in New York is seeking a Front Desk Associate to greet families and manage front desk tasks with a welcoming, first-class experience. The role requires flexibility with shifts and rotating weekends, with offices in Bellerose and Forest Hills.

Ideal candidates have experience in healthcare, excellent communication, and the ability to handle multiple systems while maintaining HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience in a healthcare environment preferred.
• Knowledge of medical insurance preferred.
• Strong multitasking and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Greets families professionally both in person and on the phone.
• Answers patient/family questions to the best of his or her ability and/or seeks clarification and instruction when needed
• Accesses empathy and active listening in difficult interpersonal situations
• Supports patient care quality initiatives as directed
• Coordinates escalations and urgent issues to ensure timely and complete resolutions
• Collaborates and communicates with site leadership to facilitate management of complex patient issues
• Maintains HIPAA compliance and confidentiality of patient accounts
• Registers all patients and maintains accurate and complete patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating demographics, insurance, and financial information
• Manages incoming patient documents, mail and correspondence
• Performs opening and closing duties including organizing, stocking, sanitizing, and reconciling
• Executes other duties as assigned
