Advocate Children's Hospital Park Ridge is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Nursing Float Pool. This full-time, night-shift role involves 12-hour shifts, self-scheduling, and 0.9 FTE with weekend rotation. You will participate in governance, perform nursing assessments, and coordinate patient care across units.

The position requires an RN license, BLS, and a nursing education program completion, with a focus on evidence-based practice and patient safety in a fast-paced pediatric setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license with privileges to practice in the state(s) where care is provided.
• BLS certification; additional specialty training may be required.

Responsibilities

• Engage in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care.
• Apply the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement and evaluate care.
• Monitor patient conditions and adjust care plans with the care team.
• Uphold a culture of safety and ensure accurate documentation in EHR.
• May administer medications and therapies per protocols.
• Float to other units as needed to meet patient care needs.
