Job summary

St. Louis Children’s Hospital is seeking Registered Nurses to join the Float Pool, delivering care across specialized units including ICUs and ER. The role is benefit-eligible with a 36-hour work week, 12-hour night shifts, and an every-3rd weekend schedule, plus holiday rotations as required by department.

Qualifications

• Active RN license required.
• Nursing Diploma/Associate's degree required.
• 2 years of RN experience in acute care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promotes patient and family centered care in a healing environment.
• Educates patients and families on illness or injury management, post-treatment home care, and medication administration.
• Develops, implements, and documents individualized plans of care with goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team and patient/family.
• Assesses and evaluates physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs according to standards of care; considers patient values and barriers to involvement in care.
• This is a safety-sensitive position requiring constant alertness and safe work practices.
