Job summary

St. Louis Children's Hospital, part of BJC HealthCare, seeks an experienced RN for the Emergency Department. The role involves direct pediatric care in a trauma-designated ED, with 12-hour night shifts (7:00 pm – 7:30 am) and every third weekend, plus holiday rotation as required.

Qualifications

• Provides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning implementation, and evaluation within nursing standards.
• Promotes patient and family centered care and educates on post-treatment home care needs and medications.
• Develops, implements, and documents plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team.
• Uses critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs.

Responsibilities

• Promote patient and family centered care in a healing environment.
• Educate patients and families on managing illness or injuries and post-treatment care.
