St. Louis Children’s Hospital/BJC HealthCare is seeking an experienced RN for the pediatric emergency department. The role involves direct patient care, assessment, and education for families, with a focus on safety and quality across the care continuum.

The position is part-time, with two 12-hour night shifts per week, every third weekend, and holiday rotation as required by the department. RN licensure and nursing degree are required, with preferred BSN.

Qualifications

• Nursing Diploma or Associate degree in Nursing.
• RN license required for practice in Missouri.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provides direct patient care including assessment, planning, and evaluation within nursing standards.
• Promotes patient- and family-centered care and educates on post-discharge home care and medication.
• Participates in patient safety, quality, and regulatory activities; engages in professional development.
• Develops and documents individualized care plans in collaboration with the interprofessional team and family.
• Assesses physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs and ensures clear communication across care continuum.
