St. David's North Austin Medical Center is seeking a Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN) in Pediatrics to deliver high-quality care for infants, children, and adolescents.

You will work with families to address options and concerns, and collaborate with the care team to plan and evaluate treatment and discharge strategies. The role requires hands-on stabilization and assessments, medication administration, and coordination with Nurse Practitioners and Neonatologists.

Qualifikationen

• 2 years of recent clinical nursing experience in Pediatric ICU, Pediatric Emergency Department, Pediatric Med Surg or Neonatal ICU.
• ADN required; BSN preferred.
• Active TX RN license or Compact license with 90 days to transfer.
• BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS certifications required per policy.
• RNC-NIC and ST.A.B.L.E. Neonatal Education Program Certification preferred.
• ACLS, CPEN, CCRN, CPN certifications preferred.

Aufgaben

• Attend deliveries and perform neonatal stabilization and admission assessments.
• Create and revise care plans including discharge planning; assess effectiveness.
• Conduct ongoing infant assessments and communicate changes to NP or Neonatologist.
• Administer medications and complete treatments per hospital policy.
• Assist transport teams in stabilization and documentation for transfers.
• Delegate tasks to non-licensed staff per standards of practice.
• Provide education and emotional support to patients and families; incorporate teaching.
