Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Pediatric Float Pool PCA for the Park Ridge Campus. You will assist RNs with routine patient care in a pediatric setting, including hygiene, feeding, and mobility, while documenting in the EMR and assisting with room setup and patient transitions.

Must be a Nurse Aide in good standing with the state registry and obtain BLS within 45 days. The role includes 36 hours/week on a 7p-7a shift, every 3rd weekend with rotating holidays, and a pay range of $20.80 to $31.20

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED/HSED required.
• Nurse Aide in good standing with state registry; BLS required within 45 days.
• Basic computer skills and strong communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with daily patient care (bathing, hygiene, feeding, positioning).
• Record vitals and fluid intake/output; document in EMR.
• Perform rounds and communicate patient/family needs to RN.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, discharges; prepare rooms and patient belongings.
• Collect specimens and perform point-of-care testing; maintain specimen labeling.
• Stock nursing area, transport items, and maintain equipment.
• Position patients and assist with transfers; ensure skin care and prevention measures.
