Job summary

Children’s Wisconsin is seeking a dedicated Children’s Ambassador to welcome families and set a positive tone upon arrival. You will assist with navigation, transport patients, and support families throughout their visit, contributing to a safe, comforting environment for children and families.

The role requires strong customer service experience, excellent communication, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• At least one year of customer service experience.
• Understanding of developmental needs across all age groups—from neonatal to adult.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and prioritization skills.
• Confidence and composure in stressful situations, with the ability to diffuse negativity.
• Critical thinking skills to make independent decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Bilingual abilities preferred.
• CPR certification (BLS for Healthcare Providers) required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Welcome with warmth and empathy: Actively greet visitors with kindness and understanding.
• Guide with care: Badge and screen guests per visitation guidelines and navigate the facility.
• Support families: Determine destinations and transportation needs, offering assistance.
• Transport patients safely: Provide internal patient transport that is secure and engaging.
• Keep us moving: Stock and move wheelchairs, strollers, and carts to ensure accessibility.
