Job summary

Miami Neuroscience Institute Baptist Health South Florida is seeking a seasoned RN to lead pediatric emergency and Level I trauma patient care. You will assess, implement, and evaluate plans of care within a fast-paced, team-based environment, upholding Magnet standards and patient rights.

Responsibilities include comprehensive multi-system assessments, IV starts, meds, and 1:1 patient support; ensure accurate hand-offs, documentation in EMR, and timely discharge planning.

Qualifications

• RN license in Florida or eNLC required.
• Current CPR/BLS, PALS, CPI and related renewals.
• ACLS preferred within 1 year from hire.
• Must maintain active and in good standing throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive multi-system assessments and develop care plans.
• Communicate patient progress to physicians and care teams with close loop updates.
• Initiate/monitor IVs, collect specimens, perform POCT, and administer meds.
• Provide 1:1 patient care for critical pediatric cases and assist with procedures including sedation as required.
• Conduct bedside hand-offs during shifts and transfers; participate in discharge planning.
• Respond to codes/traumas per policy and ensure accurate triage documentation.
• Document in EMR timely; manage radiology steps, consents, and discharge records.
• Adhere to PPE protocols; promote safe, high-quality care and regulatory compliance.
• Supervise and document CPI-related care for behavioral health patients as needed.
