Children's Health in Dallas is seeking a Clinical Therapist to join the Emergency Department's Psych Consult team. You will conduct psychiatric assessments and provide crisis intervention for children and families in crisis, coordinating care with the medical and psychiatric teams.

The role emphasizes safety planning, risk assessment for suicidality, and disposition coordination across shifts. It requires an on-site presence with PRN Saturday coverage and night shifts, including various 12-hour

Qualifications

• Graduate or advanced degree required.
• Texas independent license at a Master’s level (LPC, LMFT, LCSW) required.
• Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers required.

Responsibilities

• Provide evaluation and treatment services to patients and families with complex psychosocial needs; crisis intervention and emergency services as needed.
• Assess and intervene for individuals presenting to the ER with mental health concerns, focusing on suicidality risk and safety.
• Maintain communication with medical and psychiatry teams across shifts; provide patient care information and disposition planning.
• Case management and disposition arrangements.
• Contribute to program development.
• Maintain fiscal accountability and ensure billable hours.
• Educate and collaborate with trainees as co-therapists and participate in didactics.
