Job summary

Phoenix Children's Hospital is seeking a part-time Clinical Supervisor to coordinate shift operations and provide clinical leadership for nursing and support staff across the unit. You will ensure developmentally appropriate, high‑quality patient care in a fast-paced ambulatory setting, while directing staffing, rounding, and daily workflow for patient families.

Qualifications

• Two years nursing experience or demonstrated competence in bedside nursing role.
• One year supervisory or lead experience.
• Experience with pediatric patient populations.
• Current Arizona RN license or RN Compact license with multistate privileges.
• Current BLS provider and PALS or NRP provider certifications.
• Current and valid nursing certification in clinical nursing expertise or ability to obtain within one year.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates shift operational flow and clinical leadership of patient care during assigned shift.
• Oversees staffing, admissions, discharges, transfers, and rounding to ensure safe, efficient care.
• Monitors unit environment and ensures supplies, equipment, and information are available.
• Mentors staff and collaborates with leadership to promote staff engagement and professional development.
• Leads quality improvement initiatives and ensures compliance with regulatory standards and safety goals.
• Documents scheduling, incident reports, and patient/family concerns in real time for rapid resolution.
