Capital Health in Pennington, NJ, is hiring a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) for mid-shift coverage from 1:00pm to 1:30am with rotating weekends and holidays. The role provides for safety, personal care, nutrition, vital signs, specimen collection, and post‑mortem assistance under RN supervision, while maintaining a clean, organized unit.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, AHA BLS, and CNA preferred; UAP training within 90 days may be provided.

Qualificações

• Education: High school diploma or equivalency.
• Experience: One year as EMT, military medic, PCA in an acute care or equivalent, or two clinical nursing semesters.
• Credentials: AHA BLS. Non-Licensed must obtain before end of orientation period.

Responsabilidades

• Provides for safety aspects of patient care under RN direction.
• Provides personal care (bathing, mouth care, evening care, incontinence care) under RN supervision.
• Applies basic dressings and devices under RN direction.
• Collects specimens such as stool, urine and sputum on a timely basis.
• Empties and cleans ostomy and other device bags and records intake/output.
• Provides for nutrition of patients, including tube feedings and meal delivery.
• Records accurate observations in patient records and reports findings to RN.
• Assists with CPR and post mortem care as directed.
• Performs phlebotomy, glucometer tests, EKGs and measures vitals as trained.
• Maintains a clean, stocked, well-organized unit and monitors logs.
