Capital Health is seeking dedicated care professionals for evening shifts at our Trenton, NJ facilities. The position involves assisting with direct patient care, vital signs, and post-admission activities in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Eligible candidates possess a high school diploma or GED and AED certification, with preference given to those with clinical practicum experience. This full-time role offers comprehensive benefits and a 24-hour work week in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• AHA Heartsaver AED certification required; non-licensed must obtain before end of orientation period.
• Strong English communication skills and bedside manner are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist with CPR under supervision of a Registered Nurse or Physician.
• Document patient care activities and data using appropriate forms or systems.
• Perform ADL tasks (bathing, feeding, grooming) and patient care duties per RN instructions.
• Reinforce discharge teaching and patient self-care activities.
• Perform vital signs, aseptic technique, and basic clinical skills as directed.
• Assist with patient admission, transfer, or discharge and monitor for changes in condition.
• Communicate progress and diagnostic results to the RN; ensure timely documentation.
• Identify and report safety risks to patient and staff; support unit quality improvement.
