Capital Health in Trenton, NJ is seeking a dedicated Nursing Assistant/Patient Care Assistant to support the RN with direct patient care in a fast‑paced hospital setting.

The role involves safety, basic nursing tasks, feeding, vital signs, specimen collection, and documentation. Eligible for comprehensive benefits; shifts include 12‑hour days with 24 hours weekly commitment. CNA preferred; AHA BLS required or obtained within orientation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency is required.
• One year EMT, military medic, PCA in acute care or two clinical nursing semesters are acceptable.
• AHA BLS certification is required or must be obtained before end of orientation.

Responsabilités

• Provide safety aspects of patient care under RN supervision.
• Assist with personal care and basic nursing tasks.
• Collect specimens and document intake/output.
• Perform phlebotomy, glucometer tests, and EKGs as trained.
• Support nutrition, monitoring, and observation duties.
• Maintain clean, organized environment and note any equipment issues.
