Job summary

Valley Children’s Healthcare in Beaverton, OR seeks an Echocardiography Technician to perform routine congenital and pediatric echocardiography with guidance to assist in transesophageal, epicardial and intracardiac procedures in outpatient settings. You will generate draft reports and support cardiologists in a busy clinic.

Requirements include ARDMS certification pathway, two-year accredited echocardiography program, and AS or equivalent.

Qualifications

Two-year accredited echocardiography/ultrasonography program is required.
Accredited program or 2-year degree plus ARDMS certification pathway is required.
High School Diploma/G.E.D. required; equivalent experience may suffice to pursue ARDMS.
Four-year diagnostic cardiac sonography degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform routine congenital and pediatric echocardiographic procedures with competency.
Assist in transesophageal, epicardial and intracardiac echocardiography procedures.
Generate and prepare draft echocardiogram reports.
Work under clinic manager direction.
Participate in on-call duties and outreach clinic involvement.
Perform EKGs, Holter and multi-event applications.
