Valley Children’s Healthcare in Beaverton, OR seeks an Echocardiography Technician to perform routine congenital and pediatric echocardiography with guidance to assist in transesophageal, epicardial and intracardiac procedures in outpatient settings. You will generate draft reports and support cardiologists in a busy clinic.
Requirements include ARDMS certification pathway, two-year accredited echocardiography program, and AS or equivalent.
This position is accountable for accurately, safely and efficiently performing routine congenital and pediatric echocardiographic procedures with competency including assisting in transesophageal, epicardial and intracardiac echocardiographic procedures in outpatient clinic environment. Assists the Cardiologist as required. Generates and prepares a draft echocardiogram report using the archiving and report writing software. Works under the direction of the clinic manager. Participates in the rotation of on-call duties and outreach clinic involvement. Performs EKGs, Holter and multi-event applications.
Minimum two (2) years Congenital & pediatric echocardiography (preferred)
Demonstrated knowledge of cardiac embryology, congenital heart defects, cardiac hemodynamics and palliative/corrective congenital heart surgical procedures. Skilled to instruct, train and educate health providers in the assessment of congenital heart disease. Bilingual Skills Preferred.
