Job summary

The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora seeks an Echocardiographer within Pediatric Cardiology to perform and interpret transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography in patients with normal anatomy and complex congenital heart disease.

The role includes teaching pediatric fellows and sonographers, providing in-the-moment interpretations in OR and cath lab, and participating in outpatient clinic activities at the Anschutz campus and network.

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Eligible in Pediatric Cardiology.
• For Associate and Professor, 5+ or 10+ years of experience respectively.
• Strong knowledge of congenital heart disease anatomy, physiology and clinical implications.

Responsibilities

• Interprets diagnostic transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE) in inpatient and outpatient settings, including complex congenital heart disease.
• Performs and provides real-time interpretations on diagnostic transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE) in OR, cath lab, and EP lab settings.
• Mentors pediatric cardiology fellows and pediatric advanced imaging fellows.
• Trains pediatric cardiac sonographers.
• Outpatient cardiology clinic duties at the Anschutz campus and network of care.
