Job summary

Children's Hospital Colorado seeks a Cardiac Sonographer Associate/Echo Technologist to perform routine echocardiographic studies from newborns to adults with congenital heart disease. The role offers mentoring to gain proficiency in pediatric echocardiography.

You will support Noninvasive Cardiology, work 1.0 FTE, 40 hours/week, with a Monday–Friday day shift and eligible benefits as part of the team.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Sonography or related field.
• BLS certification required.
• RDCS or RCS credential expected within 18 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform echocardiograms for neonates to adults with congenital heart disease.
• Maintain scheduling flexibility across shifts, locations, and weekends.
• Manage patient flow and prioritize STAT cases.
• Prepare patients and explain procedures with age-appropriate communication.
• Create preliminary reports and alert physicians to critical findings.
• Assist cardiologists while adhering to aseptic techniques and guidelines.
• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment; report malfunctions promptly.
• Utilize EMR and PACS for documentation and image management.
