Job summary

Advocate Health’s Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge is seeking a pediatric echocardiography technologist to perform pediatric echocardiograms in inpatient and outpatient settings, tailoring exams to each patient’s diagnosis, age, height, and weight. The role requires 2 years of experience and registry status (RDCS_AE or RCS) within 12 months of hire.

The position is full-time (40 hours per week) with benefits eligible and on-call travel within the Park Ridge campus and north region; pay

Qualifications

• Education: Advanced training beyond High School that includes the completion of an accredited or approved program in Sonography.
• Work Experience: Two years of experience in adult echocardiography preferred.
• Licenses & Certifications: RDCS_AE or RCS within 1 year; pediatric registry within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform pediatric echocardiograms in inpatient and outpatient settings using multiple systems and accessories.
• Differentiate artifacts from true images and tailor exams to clinical questions.
• Maintain accurate reports and billing; communicate findings to physicians and families.
