Job summary

Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem/Greensboro is seeking an experienced pediatric echocardiography technologist to perform pediatric echocardiograms in both inpatient and outpatient settings. You will operate multiple ultrasound systems, tailor exams to clinical questions, and contribute to high-quality patient care.

The role requires advanced sonography training and registry eligibility (RDCS_AE or RCS) with pediatric registry within 12 months, plus BLS/CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Advanced training beyond High School that includes the completion of an accredited or approved program in Sonography.
• Registered in Adult Echocardiography (RDCS_AE) issued by ARDMS or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) issued by CCI within one year.
• Must Obtain pediatric registry status within 12 months of hire with either ARDMS or CCI equivalents.
• Basic Life Support/CPR.

Responsibilities

• Perform pediatric echocardiograms in inpatient and outpatient settings using multiple systems.
• Differentiate artifacts from true findings and understand equipment limitations.
• Recognize various cardiac defects and tailor exams to clinical questions.
• Conduct emergency exams in multiple departments and rooms as needed.
• Maintain records and ensure proper documentation and billing.
