Job summary

Thom Child & Family Services in West Newbury, MA seeks an Early Intervention Speech-Language Pathologist to provide home and community-based services for infants and toddlers birth to three. You will collaborate with families to tailor plans, coach parents, and support child development in diverse settings.

The role requires MA licensure as an SLP, ASHA CCC or CF eligibility, and a strong commitment to culturally humble family-centered care.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts licensure as Speech-Language Pathologist required.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (ASHA) required or CF eligible.
• Knowledge of family systems and early childhood development.
• Ability to engage in meaningful, therapeutic relationships with children, parents/caregivers, and partners.
• Commitment to delivering individualized and culturally humble services.

Responsibilities

• Participate in multidisciplinary team assessments of the client’s developmental status.
• Assess family and child strengths/resources, concerns, and progress.
• Provide child and family centered services and activities for birth to three using a parent coaching model.
• Provide service coordination by scheduling, developing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating intervention plans.
• Partner with families to develop IFSP goals, objectives, and strategies.
• Facilitate parent-child interactions to support child development and advocacy.
• Complete progress notes, reports, assessments, and correspondence using Thom’s electronic system.
• Deliver individual and group interventions for infants and toddlers with delays.
