Job summary

Cook County Health & Hospitals System seeks a Consultant Physician in Dermatology (Pediatrics) for the outpatient clinic at John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital.

This part-time role covers 19 hours weekly. The physician will also serve as an educator in the dermatology residency program, and participate in grand rounds, journal clubs, and other didactic activities. Minimum qualifications include MD/DO, IL license, ACGME dermatology residency, pediatric dermatology fellowship, and board certification or

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited college; proof required at interview.
• Illinois medical license in good standing prior to starting.
• ACGME dermatology residency completed; proof at interview.
• ACGME pediatric dermatology fellowship completed; proof at interview.
• Must be cleared for privileges by Medical Staff Services by start date.
• Board certification or eligibility in Dermatology; must obtain within 2 years.
• Board certification or eligibility in Pediatric Dermatology; must obtain within 2 years.
• Experience with dermatologic procedures and tests listed in the posting.

Responsibilities

• Spends time as attending physician in the Dermatology Outpatient Clinic.
• Staff additional clinics as needed; diagnose and treat patients.
• Educate residents in the dermatology residency program.
• Attend grand rounds, journal clubs and didactic sessions.
• Participate in credentialing and educational activities per ACGME.
