Job summary

Cook County Health's John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital seeks a Consultant Physician in Dermatology (Pediatrics) for the outpatient clinic, part-time 19 hours weekly. The role includes attending duties and contributing to residency education.

The successful candidate will have MD/DO, Illinois license, completed dermatology residency and pediatric dermatology fellowship, and participate in on-call rotations; board certification or eligibility required.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited college or university; must provide proof at interview.
• Illinois medical license in good standing before starting employment.
• Completion of an ACGME dermatology residency; proof required at interview.
• Completion of an ACGME pediatric dermatology fellowship; proof required.
• Board certification or eligibility in Dermatology; plan to obtain within 2 years.
• Board certification or eligibility in Pediatric Dermatology; plan to obtain within 2 years.
• Experience with dermatology procedures including biopsies and closures.
• Familiarity with third-party reimbursement coding.

Responsibilities

• Spends clinical time as attending physician in the Dermatology Outpatient Clinic.
• Staff additional clinics as needed and participate in resident education.
• Manage patient workups, diagnoses, and referrals within the specialty.
• Provide non-clinical teaching in the dermatology residency program and attend rounds.
• Participate in duties and scholarly activity per ACGME requirements.
