Job summary

42 North Dental in Michigan seeks a pediatric dentist or a general dentist open to treating children to join our Great Lakes Family Dental team in Saginaw, MI. We offer General, Pediatric, Orthodontic, and Periodontic services in a modern, state-of-the-art facility with a dedicated patient base.

The ideal candidate holds a DMD or DDS, is board-eligible or board-certified in pediatric dentistry, and possesses a current state dental license, Hepatitis B vaccination documentation, malpractice

Qualifications

• DMD or DDS degree from ADA CODA-accredited program.
• Board eligibility or board certification in pediatric dentistry.
• Current state license to practice dentistry.
• Documentation of Hepatitis B vaccination.
• Proof of malpractice insurance.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Promote oral health and disease prevention.
• Diagnose oral diseases.
• Educate patients on oral health and various treatment options.
• Create treatment plans to maintain or restore patient’s oral health.
• Review treatment plan options with patients.
• Review, maintain and update patients' medical and dental records.
• Review and interpret x-rays and diagnostic tests; monitor growth and development.
• Provide proper restorative and preventive dental care.
• Maintain the highest quality standard of care for all patients.
• Maintain the highest standard of ethics and professionalism within the dental office.
• Keep abreast of new developments, technologies, best practices and standard of care through continuing education.

Education

DMD or DDS degree

Board eligible or board certified in pediatric dentistry

Current state license to practice dentistry

Documentation of Hepatitis B vaccination

Proof of malpractice insurance

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification
