Job summary

Forest Orthodontics & Pediatric Dentistry in Lake Forest and Gurnee is seeking a Pediatric Dental Assistant who loves working with children and helping them feel safe and happy during visits. You will support the pediatric dentist, assist with exams, cleanings, and X-rays, and help create a welcoming, kid-friendly atmosphere.

This full-time, on-site role offers a competitive hourly wage of $18–$24, health insurance, retirement plans, and opportunities for professional development.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pediatric dentist in providing top-notch dental care to our young patients, ensuring comfort and safety throughout the journey.
• Create a welcoming atmosphere for young patients and explain procedures in simple terms to reduce anxiety.
• Assist the dentist during examinations, cleanings, and treatments to keep smiles bright.
• Capture dental X-rays with proper technique while keeping patients at ease.
• Sterilize and prepare dental instruments to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Collaborate with the dental team to ensure coordinated, friendly patient care.
• Educate children and parents on proper oral hygiene practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pediatric dentist in providing top-notch dental care to our young patients. You'll be their trusted sidekick, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout their dental journey.
• Create a welcoming atmosphere for our young patients. Your warmth and friendly nature will help ease their fears and anxieties. You'll explain procedures in a simple and engaging way, turning dental visits into exciting adventures.
• Help maintain a healthy and happy lineup of smiles! You'll assist the dentist during examinations, cleanings, and treatments, making sure our little patient’s teeth shine brighter than ever.
• Become a master of capturing dental X-rays. You'll handle the equipment with ease and ensure accurate positioning, all while keeping our young patients at ease with your super soothing powers.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by sterilizing and preparing dental instruments. Your attention to detail will help keep our patients safe.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with the dental team to ensure seamless coordination. Your excellent communication skills will help create a supportive and friendly atmosphere for our patients and their families.
