Job summary

Dental Associates of Connecticut Kids - Danbury is seeking a motivated Pediatric Dental Assistant to join our family-oriented team. You will greet and seat patients, assist the doctor, and manage chairside workflows with four-handed dentistry.

Responsibilities include scheduling, entering treatment plans, taking x-rays, sterilizing instruments, and keeping the operatory stocked. A GED, strong customer service, and willingness to learn are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Strong customer service skills are essential

Responsibilities

• Greet and seat patients
• Serve as liaison between patient and doctor
• Set up trays as indicated by daily charts
• Review schedules and anticipate the doctor’s needs
• Assist chairside using four-handed dentistry
• Enter treatment plans into the system
• Take x-rays as needed
• Clean and disinfect operatory after each patient
• Take alginates, pour and trim models
• Package and sterilize instruments
• Keep operatory fully stocked and ready for patients

Currently, we're in search of a highly motivated Pediatric Dental Assistant. Candidate should have a strong work-ethic, be a team player and possess the ability to multitask.

Specific job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Greet and seat patients


• Act as a liaison between the patient and the doctor


• Set up trays as indicated by the days’ charts


• Review schedules and anticipate the doctor’s needs in advance


• Assist chairside using four-handed dentistry


• Enter treatment plans


• Take x-rays as needed


• Clean and disinfect operatory after each patient


• Take alginates/pour and trim models


• Package and sterilize instruments


• Keep operatory fully stocked


• Act as a liaison between the patient and the doctor

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

• Ability to reliably commute to the office location in Danbury, CT

Available to work:

• Monday - Thursday 8am - 5pm


• Fridays as needed from 8am


• One Saturday per month 8am - 2pm

Preferred Qualities:
