Job summary

Medical City Dallas is hiring a Surgical Technologist to support the surgical team with instrument setup, patient positioning, and sterile technique in a fast-paced OR. You will scrub in, hand instruments, and monitor the sterile field throughout procedures, ensuring safety and efficiency.

The role requires an accredited Surgical Technologist program, CST or equivalent, and 2+ years CV experience (Pedi/Adult CVOR preferred).

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program.
• Must hold CST or equivalent certification.
• Current BCLS provider per AHA or Red Cross.
• Minimum 2+ years cardiovascular OR experience.
• Pedi or adult CVOR experience required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain the surgical suite with instruments and equipment for safe procedures.
• Assist with patient transport, positioning, prepping, and draping with priority on safety.
• Scrub in and provide instruments, handle specimens and anticipate team needs.
• Monitor patients and equipment during procedures; address concerns promptly.
• Uphold sterile technique and support efficient room turnover in a collaborative team.
