Job summary

Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa, AZ is seeking an experienced CVOR RN to join the Perioperative Services team. The role involves assisting physicians with cardiopulmonary bypass procedures, invasive cardiac assessments, and vascular access in a fast-paced OR with advanced robotic technologies such as the da Vinci Xi system.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice.
• BLS certification is required.
• Minimum of one year RN experience in the operating room.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs.
• Formulates a plan of care, including the discharge plan, utilizing assessment data and input from patient, family and health team.
• Implements the plan of care through direct patient care, coordination, delegation and supervision of the health care team.
• Evaluates patient progress towards goals and outcomes in collaboration with the care team.
• Documents assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in the patient record.
• Provides care based on the best evidence available and participates in staff education and orientation.
• Interacts with multiple departments and providers to ensure safe, high-quality care.
