Job summary

Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago is seeking a Radiologic Technologist focused on CT and radiography exams. The role requires ARRT CT certification within one year, two years of radiology/CT/XR experience, CPR, and an Illinois IEMA license.

The incumbent will maintain high image quality, adhere to safety standards, and collaborate with nurses and physicians to support patient care. The position is a night shift, Fri/Sat/Sun 6:30p–7a, in Chicago.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT CT certification required within one year of hire.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) Certification required.
• Minimum of two years radiology, CT, or XR experience.
• Current Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) licensure must be kept current and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Performs CT and XR imaging procedures according to department standard in a timely and efficient manner.
• Meets age specific competency standards.
• Produces examinations that meet image quality standards. Submits images for physician interpretation.
• Verifies accuracy of patient demographic information, pertinent clinical diagnosis, and required technical results.
• Data must be entered accurately and in a timely fashion to provide optimal patient care.
• Verifies all technical data entry components are complete prior to the end of shift.
