The position requires an Associate's degree or equivalent; a Bachelor's degree is recommended. Certifications must include ARRT CT or related licensure, with pediatric experience preferred and no minimum

Qualifications

• Required Education: Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college program or technical school or nursing diploma
• Recommended Education: Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university
• Required Work Experience: Direct - No experience required
• Recommended Work Experience: Direct - Pediatric
• Required Certifications: 1 of the following certifications must be obtained in one year - ARRT-(R)(N)(CT) or Radiologic Technologist License
• Recommended Certifications: ARRT - Computed Tomography (CT) or CNMT

Responsibilities

• Verifies exams as ordered by physician.
• Developing knowledge to perform correct scan protocols to reduce radiation exposure.
• Adhere to radiation safety recommendations, including patient shielding (ALARA).
• Explain exams/procedures to patients and families.
• Maintain work area and equipment; request service as needed.
• Comply with regulatory laws, standards, and protocols.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
