Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Nurse (APRN) to assess, diagnose, and manage patient care within an interdisciplinary team. You will document in the EMR, support evidence-based care, and participate in quality and safety initiatives to ensure optimal outcomes.

The role requires a Master’s Degree in Nursing, active RN license, board certification, and DEA registration prior to hire; Illinois CS license may be required.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Nursing required.
• Active RN license in state(s) of practice required.
• Active national board certification in area of clinical practice and populations served.
• DEA registration prior to hire.
• Illinois Controlled Substances License prior to hire if Illinois practice.
• BLS and/or ACLS, PALS, NRP as required by clinical practice before or within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and manage treatment plans appropriate for patient age and condition.
• Work within an interdisciplinary team and refer to physicians or team members as needed.
• Document accurately in the electronic medical record and support compliant coding and billing practices.
• Provide health promotion, disease prevention, and patient-family education.
• Participate in quality, safety, and peer review initiatives and committees.
