Qualifications

Oregon CNA certification is required
BLS certification upon hire (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
Knowledge of age-specific growth and development for pediatric patients
Strong communication skills with children, families, and care teams

Responsibilities

Support pediatric patients with daily care activities (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, eating, hydration)
Help children move, walk, reposition, and transfer safely
Take and document vital signs and report changes to the nursing team
Observe patients and communicate updates to the care team
Assist nurses with treatments and basic procedures within CNA scope
Measure and record intake and output accurately
Maintain a clean, organized, welcoming environment for patients and families
Stock supplies and assist with patient flow and unit readiness
Document patient information promptly and accurately
Provide clerical and unit support (phones, orders) as needed
Support a safety-focused, compassionate team culture
