PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend in Springfield, Oregon is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for the Medical Surgical unit. This full-time, 0.90 FTE position offers day shift hours and a competitive hourly pay range.

You'll support the nursing team by assisting patients with daily activities, monitoring vital signs, and helping maintain a safe, comforting environment. Strong communication and compassion are essential as you provide patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Current Oregon CNA certification is required.
• BLS certification upon hire.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment.
• Commitment to compassionate patient care.
• Ability to respond to changing patient needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily activities: bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, eating, hydration.
• Help patients walk, reposition, transfer, and move safely.
• Take and document vital signs and intake/output.
• Observe patient changes and communicate to the nursing team.
• Perform CNA duties under RN supervision.
• Provide comfort and support to patients and families.
• Keep rooms stocked and organized; support unit operations.
