Job summary

Tender Care Medical Services, INC is seeking compassionate CNAs to provide daily pediatric care in our PPEC centers. You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor vital signs, and support safety and comfort for medically fragile children.

The role emphasizes teamwork with nursing staff, adherence to HIPAA and infection control, and ongoing growth opportunities through clinical leadership and training.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year pediatric healthcare experience OR 2 years childcare experience
• Current CPR certification
• Background Screening Clearinghouse
• Ability to comply with Drug-Free Workplace policies

Responsibilities

• Assist children with activities of daily living including feeding, bathing, diapering, toileting, repositioning, and personal care
• Obtain and report patient vital signs to nursing staff
• Provide emotional support, comfort, and reassurance to children
• Supervise and participate in structured indoor and outdoor play activities
• Follow individualized patient care plans
• Monitor patient safety and report concerns or abnormal findings immediately
• Maintain cleanliness and follow infection control and sanitization protocols
• Adhere to HIPAA, OSHA, state licensing standards, and company policies
• Work collaboratively with nursing staff and interdisciplinary team members
• Complete assigned daily tasks and additional duties as directed

Job description

Tender Careis seeking compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to provide daily care and support to medically fragile children in our Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care (PPEC) centers. This role focuses on patient safety, comfort, engagement, and supporting a positive, team-based care environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist children with activities of daily living including feeding, bathing, diapering, toileting, repositioning, and personal care
• Obtain and report patient vital signs to nursing staff
• Provide emotional support, comfort, and reassurance to children
• Supervise and participate in structured indoor and outdoor play activities

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds independently
• Ability to participate in team lifts for heavier loads
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, push, pull, and perform repetitive hand movements
• Ability to ride in a company vehicle for extended periods if required

Minimum Qualifications

• 1 yr pediatric healthcare experience OR 2 yrs childcare experience

Preferred Qualifications

• CNA, Medical Assistant, Personal Care Assistant, EMT, or Paramedic certification
