Job summary

A pediatric care provider is seeking compassionate Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) in Town of Florida, NY, to support medically fragile children in a team-based environment. Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Assist children with daily living activities.

  • Maintain infection control and sanitize environments per policies.

Job description

Tender Care Medical Services is seeking compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to provide daily care and support to medically fragile children in our Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care (PPEC) centers. This role focuses on patient safety, comfort, engagement, and supporting a positive, team-based care environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist children with activities of daily living including feeding, bathing, diapering, toileting, repositioning, and personal care
  • Obtain and report patient vital signs to nursing staff
  • Provide emotional support, comfort, and reassurance to children
  • Supervise and participate in structured indoor and outdoor play activities
  • Follow individualized patient care plans
  • Monitor patient safety and report concerns or abnormal findings immediately
  • Maintain cleanliness and follow infection control and sanitization protocols
  • Adhere to HIPAA, OSHA, state licensing standards, and company policies
  • Work collaboratively with nursing staff and interdisciplinary team members
  • Complete assigned daily tasks and additional duties as directed
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds independently
  • Ability to participate in team lifts for heavier loads
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, push, pull, and perform repetitive hand movements
  • Ability to ride in a company vehicle for extended periods if required
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Current CPR certification
  • Background Screening Clearinghouse
  • Ability to comply with Drug-Free Workplace policiesCNA, Medical Assistant, Personal Care Assistant, EMT, or Paramedic certification
