Job summary

Galen Medical Group is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support East Pediatrics as a full-time float across pediatric providers. The role may involve lab duties and requires pediatric experience, knowledge of immunization schedules, and proficiency with EHR/EMR systems.

The position emphasizes teamwork, accuracy, and compassionate patient care for children of all ages in a busy clinical setting. A valid CMA certification and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Medical Assistant from a nationally accredited institution.
• One year CMA clinical experience required if program qualification not met.
• 1-3 years CMA experience preferred.
• EMR experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support certification (BLS) required.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Verifies patient information and records medical history.
• Prepares patients for examination and records vital signs.
• Assists providers with exams and procedures.
• Schedules tests, referrals, and testing as needed.
• Maintains clean and sterile exam rooms and manages supplies.
