Job summary

Galen Medical Group's North Pediatrics in Chattanooga is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support providers and deliver quality care to patients of all ages.

You'll verify patient information, take vitals, prepare examination rooms, assist with procedures, manage testing, referrals, and chart in the EMR, while following HIPAA and OSHA guidelines and contributing to continuous quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Medical Assistant from a nationally accredited institution.
• High School graduate or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years’ clinical medical assistant experience preferred.
• BLS certification preferred or required.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient information by interviewing patients and recording medical history.
• Take vitals (BP, weight, temperature) and prepare patients for examination.
• Prepare and stock examination rooms; sterilize instruments.
• Assist providers with procedures and minor office tasks.
• Schedule outpatient testing, referrals, and pre-certifications; triage calls.
• Enter data accurately into the patient’s EMR and ensure chart completeness.
