MedStar Health is seeking a certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support pediatric and general ambulatory care across multiple practice sites in the Baltimore area. The float position requires excellent patient interaction, strong administrative and clinical skills, and the ability to adapt to varying site workflows.

The ideal candidate has CMA certification, 2 years of experience, and a focus on patient-centered care.

Qualificações

• Clinical competency verified within 90-day orientation period and annually thereafter.
• Excellent customer service/patient interaction skills.
• Basic computer skills preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Contributes to department goals while adhering to policies, procedures, quality and safety standards.
• Functions across multiple practice sites to support staffing needs in a geographic region.
• Assists providers with patient preparation for examinations and with exams, ensuring optimal patient flow.
• Screens patients for preventative care needs, barriers to care, safety concerns and fall risk.
• Performs point-of-care testing and basic procedures per site requirements.
• Documents clinically related activities in the EMR and coordinates follow-up and referrals.
• Provides telephone screening to gather information and determine disposition per protocols.
• Participates in meetings and safety/infection control initiatives.
• Maintains inventory and ensures appropriate supplies and equipment.
