Job summary

NorthShore is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist for Elmhurst Hospital in Elmhurst, IL. This full-time role involves approximately 75% AM shifts and 25% PM shifts, with rotating weekends and holidays. A Pharm D.

(preferred) or equivalent residency/experience is required, along with an Illinois Pharmacist license, CPR, and ACLS. The pharmacist will support clinical services, education, and workflow development to improve patient outcomes.

• Residency with 2+ years of clinical pharmacy practice required, or five years of clinical pharmacy practice experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate clinical pharmacy services to ensure optimal daily care.
• Develop new pharmacy services and clinical workflows.
• Supervise pharmacy staff to maintain clinical programs and programs.

Hourly Pay Range:

$58.00 - $89.90 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• Position: Clinical Pharmacist
• Location: Elmhurst Hospital
• Full Time (40 hrs/week)
• Hours: Approximately 75% AM shift and 25% PM shifts. Various start times: AM's 6am, 6:30am, 7am. PM start times: 12:30pm, 2:30pm. Every 3rd weekend and rotating holidays (4-5 per year) required.

What you will need:

• Education:
  • Pharm D. from an ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy (Preferred)
  • Clinical residency with a minimum of 2 years of clinical pharmacy practice experience required, (or)
  • Minimum five years of clinical pharmacy practice experience

• Required License/Certification:
  • Current Illinois Registered Pharmacist License
  • Current CPR Certification issued by either American Heart Association within six weeks of hire into position.
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification or within 90 days of hire into position.

What you will do:

Responsible for assistance in the coordination of clinical pharmacy services to ensure optimal clinical pharmacy services on a daily basis. Assists in the development of new pharmacy services and clinical workflows. Facilitates staff education and development to ensure competency. Supervises and directs pharmacy support personnel to ensure clinical programs are maintained. Follows established policies, procedures, protocols, standards, and regulatory requirements in executing job responsibilities. Facilitates the development, implementation, and maintenance of systems that promote desirable patient outcomes through the use of safe, cost-effective drug therapies.
