HCA Healthcare, Inc. is seeking a Pharmacist Clinical Specialist for St. David’s North Austin Medical Center to advance medication management within a multidisciplinary team. The role emphasizes clinical protocol implementation and evidence-based care.

You will train staff and students, lead projects, and ensure regulatory compliance while contributing to quality improvement and patient safety initiatives at the medical center.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD).
• Current Pharmacist license with Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP).
• Postgraduate Year One (PGY1) / PGY2 Residency or board certification.
• Five or more years of experience at an HCA facility (preferred).
• Experience at North Austin Medical Center or St. David’s Surgical Hospital or comparable.

Responsabilités

• Train and cover any pharmacist shift to maintain operational continuity.
• Lead the pharmacy team and improve workflow while supporting colleagues.
• Collaborate to resolve medication-related issues and document outcomes.
• Lead two projects per review period with ongoing oversight.
• Provide training to students, residents, pharmacists, and technicians; maintain Texas preceptor license; precept ≥1 student annually.
• Educate prescribers and other healthcare professionals as appropriate.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation activities.
