Qualifications

RN license in NJ required.

AHA BLS/CPR certification required.
3-5 years pediatric/PICU experience.
PALS certification required.
ACLS certification required.

Nurse educator experience strongly preferred.
National certification strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Functioning as an expert clinical nurse resource for team members, physicians, patients, and the community in new or complex interventions.
Acting as a role model by demonstrating current trends and providing professional development opportunities.
Independently developing, implementing, and evaluating an educational plan to meet team needs.
Participating in the research process and using findings to enhance patient care.
Serving as CNS to nursing staff, administrators, physicians, and the community.
Facilitating patient teaching and support programs using the nursing process.
