Qualifications

RN license in New Jersey is required.
MSN or Master’s Degree in health-related field is required.
Active AHA BLS/CPR certification is required.
NICU experience is required.
NRP certification is required.
PALS and ACLS certifications are preferred.
CNS certification is preferred.
Nurse educator experience is strongly preferred.
National certification is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Serve as an expert clinical nurse resource for team members, physicians, patients, and the community.
Model best practices and provide professional development opportunities for staff.
Develop, implement, and evaluate educational plans to meet team needs.
Engage in research activities and translate findings to improve patient care.
Perform CNS duties with nursing staff, administrators, physicians, and community.
Lead patient teaching and support programs using the nursing process.
