Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Registered Nurse at Jersey Shore University Medical Center to deliver evidence-based patient care and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team. You will document assessments at the point of care, administer medications with bar-scanning technology, and participate in discharge planning to ensure safe transitions.

Minimum NJ RN license and BLS/CPR are required; six months of nursing experience or participation in our Nurse Residency Program is required.

Qualifications

• New Jersey Registered Nurse license required.
• BLS/CPR certification required within 60 days of hire.
• Six months of nursing experience or active Nurse Residency Program participation.
• BSN in progress or willing to acquire within three years of hire.
• Ability to learn quickly, strong accountability and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care according to up-to-date evidence-based practices and standards.
• Communicate patient status with nursing colleagues and health care team.
• Administer medications using bar-scanning and documentation technologies.
• Document assessments, plans, interventions, and evaluations at the point of care.
• Provide patient and family education to optimize health and disease management.
• Discharge patients safely with appropriate transition and follow-up plans.
• On-call commitment 16 hours per month.
