Job summary

Phoenix Children's is seeking a Clinical Educator for the East Valley Medical Surgical Observation Unit in Phoenix. The role focuses on identifying learning needs, developing education programs, supporting onboarding and competency validation, and promoting professional growth to improve patient care outcomes.

The position requires a BSN, ARIZ RN license, BLS, and pediatric nursing experience with adult teaching experience preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
One year experience in a preceptor or leadership role in the specific specialty area.
Two years clinical pediatric nursing experience.
Adult teaching experience.
Current State of Arizona RN license.
Current BLS certification for Healthcare Providers.
National Certification in clinical specialty and/or nursing professional development.

Responsibilities

Collaborates with colleagues within the educational department to support the departmental strategic plan and ongoing institutional growth.
Collaborates with other disciplines and departments as a change agent and participates in the evaluation of outcomes.
Engages in ongoing organizational endeavors which support the philosophy and values of Phoenix Children's, nursing, model of care and professional development of staff.
Plans, implements, and evaluates learning opportunities based on evidence using a variety of teaching strategies.
Seeks and takes advantage of opportunities to enhance own professional growth and development.
Performs miscellaneous job related duties as requested.
