Job summary

MercyOne Mason City Pediatrics and Adolescent Care is seeking a Clinic Registered Nurse to provide outpatient patient care, coordinate with a multi-disciplinary team, and educate patients and families. The role emphasizes accurate EMR documentation, safety, and adherence to clinical standards.

The position offers full-time hours (40 per week), Monday–Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with the MercyOne care network’s support.

Qualifications

• Must hold an Active Iowa RN License.
• BLS certification required within 3 months of hire.
• Proficient in EMR documentation and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient patient care and coordinate with clinicians and staff.
• Educate patients and families on treatments and discharge instructions.
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation of assessments, medications, and care plans.
• Assist providers with procedures and scheduling, referrals, and admissions.
• Respond to urgent needs and ensure safety and follow-up per policies.
