Job summary

MercyOne Clinton Medical Center is seeking a Clinic RN for outpatient care in the Health Plaza. You will provide safe, evidence-based patient care, coordinate with clinical staff, educate patients and families, and ensure clear communication across teams.

Strong nursing judgment and documentation are essential. The role requires Iowa RN licensure, BLS within 3 months, and ability to work a 40-hour day shift; no weekends or holidays.

Qualifications

• RN license in Iowa; compact licensure may be acceptable where applicable.
• BLS certification required within 3 months of hire.
• Proficient in basic computer skills and EMR documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in outpatient settings using nursing processes.
• Administer medications and treatments via multiple routes; document accordingly.
• Educate patients and families; coordinate with healthcare teams.
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation of assessments, vitals, and plans.
• Participate in meetings, quality improvement, and risk management activities.
