The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, 1 year of related experience, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1 year experience in billing, patient registration, scheduling and insurance verification/screening.
• Broad clinic knowledge and strong customer service skills.
• Proficient computer skills; Microsoft Office experience preferred (Word & Excel).
• Typing minimum of 35 words per minute required.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patients using the department's scheduling system.
• Register patients and collect demographic and insurance information.
• Obtain copies of insurance cards and photo IDs; ensure documentation in medical records.
• Explain co-payments and payments; discuss payment plans as needed.
• Respond to patient portal requests and maintain courteous communication.
