Job summary

Seattle Children’s in Seattle, WA is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver safe, family-centered pediatric care using the Nursing Care Process and collaborating with families and the health care team. The role may involve supervision and delegation of tasks to other care team members as defined by State rules.

Required is graduation from an accredited nursing program and a WA RN license; BLS is required at hire, with PEARS or PALS accepted in lieu.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Washington State RN License or other applicable state license.
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers required at time of hire (PEARS/PALS may be accepted in lieu).
• Must have driving record acceptable to Risk Management.
• Nurses in specified areas may need PEARS or PALS certification within defined timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, family-centered patient care using the Nursing Care Process.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care in collaboration with patients, families and the health care team.
• May supervise and delegate tasks to Nurse Technicians, LPNs, CNAs and others as defined by policy.
• Support Seattle Children’s strategic goals including CPI and patient safety initiatives.
