AdventHealth in Orlando, FL is seeking an experienced RN for Pediatric Care. The role involves in-person days, coordinating complex pediatric programs and delivering high-quality patient and family-centered care.

Responsibilities include daily rounds, policy development, and collaboration with surgeons, physicians and nursing staff to ensure seamless patient transitions and excellent outcomes. RN with pediatric experience preferred; Bachelor’s degree desirable.

• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Capable of relating to diverse age and social backgrounds.
• Professional knowledge and clinical ability sufficient to provide excellent patient care and family support activities.
• Independent work initiative, sound judgment, diplomacy, and a professional demeanor.
• Knowledge of procedures and regulations for assessment and care of infants, children and adolescents.

Responsibilities

• Support Pediatric Specialty Programs and clinics.
• Plan care utilizing community resources and relay information for continuity of care.
• Demonstrate clinical nursing skills and maintain competency.
• Round on specialty patients daily.
• Develop, implement and evaluate policies, protocols and care paths.
• Promote evidence-based practice and specialty standards of care.
• Collaborate with surgeons, mid-level providers, consultants and interdepartmental staff.
• Provide education to staff, nurses, students and community.
